Third and final for tonight

Third entry for today, last one for awhile again.

We've been called to NC. Hubby's dad is now in a coma and isn't expected to live much longer. As soon as we can throw our stuff together we're heading out. It's an 8 hour drive, so we'll have to spend the night on the road. At least we'll get a start.

Last update:

We didn't leave last night, the weather was too bad. Rain, sleet, and freezing temperatures...we're not that crazy to drive in the middle of the night through the mountains in that. We'll be leaving shortly, though.

FIL's regular doctor just checked him a few minutes ago, and said it will be today or tomorrow.

He told me at Thanksgiving that he was tired, so tired. He's ready. And everything will be all right.

FIL passed away peacefully around 4:30 Sunday afternoon. Visitation is tomorrow (Thursday) evening, and his funeral is Friday morning. Everyone is doing well, and we are thankful that he is no longer suffering.

We'll be home sometime late Sunday. Until then, I hope everyone has a safe, warm, and blessed week.
