Today�s regularly scheduled entry has been shredded, stomped, waved frantically, confettied, and vaporized in favor of news that has the DallyDomicile gettin� it on.

After 11 years of trying, and trying, and trying, and trying,
And hoping, and hoping, and hoping, and hoping,
And praying, and praying, and praying, and praying,
And wanting, and wanting, and wanting, and wanting,
And wishing, and wishing, and wishing, and wishing,

And 5 years of lessons,

Today,

This very afternoon,

In less than five minutes,

In our neighbors� pool,

It all came together,

And our son learned how to swim.

Our little boy, who at almost age 12 is painfully aware that he is not quite like the other kids...that�s how autism works...suddenly got it, after so many years of trying...after so many summers of crying...and spent the late afternoon horsing around in the pool with the neighbor boys, turning flips, doing handstands, jumping off the diving board,

Everything that little boys do in a pool in the summer sun.

He acted like a totally normal kid.

He WAS a totally normal kid.

He got it.

There are no words to describe his joy.

His big sister cried a little.

His dad was amazed.

His mother...

There are some nights that the tears never stop.
This shall be one.
